FENSA
FENSA is a government-authorised scheme that monitors building regulation compliance for replacement windows and doors.
Flexi-Orb
Flexi-Orb is a new certification body similar to MCS. Some energy suppliers are allowing this as an alternative certification to MCS if you wish to sell your electricity via the Smart Export Guarantee.
FMB
The Federation of Master Builders is a trade body for the construction industry.
Gas Safe Register
Gas Safe Register is the only official gas registration body of gas businesses and engineers in the United Kingdom. By law all gas businesses must be on the Gas Safe Register. Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI in 2009.
HETAS
HETAS is the main standards agency that monitors the installation of solid fuel appliances. It is strongly recommended that you use a HETAS certified installer whenever you install any solid fuel appliance.
NICEIC
NICEIC is the UK’s leading certification body for the electrical contracting industry and wider building services sector.
MCS
Microgeneration Certification Scheme
Working with industry, MCS sets, defines and maintains the Standards for low-carbon energy technology products, contractors and their installations. This includes heat pumps, solar, biomass, small wind and battery storage.
MCS is a mark of quality. Membership of MCS demonstrates adherence to these recognised industry Standards, highlighting quality, competency and compliance.
PAS2030
PAS2030 is a standards system that installers working on retrofit must adhere to.
